Active Investigation into the Murder of Jafet Robles Continues

September 10, 2018 -Chicopee- The investigation into the death of Mr. Jafet Robles, 33, of Springfield continues at the one year anniversary of his death.

Mr. Robles’s body was discovered on the grounds of Szot Park in Chicopee at approximately 7:20 a.m. in the vicinity of 229 Bemis Road on Monday, September 11th, 2017. Investigators believe he arrived in the area around 9:00 p.m. the previous evening, Sunday, September 10th.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver/owner of a vehicle that was seen in the area on the night Mr. Robles was killed. The general area of the incident is: Bemis Avenue, Wheatland Avenue, Front Street, Abbey Memorial Drive, and Broadway Street in Chicopee and Liberty Street in Springfield.

Authorities believe the vehicle in question is an early 2000’s model GMC Envoy and is a light metallic color: silver, gold, tan, champagne, or something similar.

Attached are photos detectives have retrieved from security systems in the area from the night of the shooting as well as a general picture of the vehicle.
