Amherst Man Victim in Holyoke Homicide

August 5, 2019 -Holyoke- On Saturday, August 3, 2019 at approximately 11:39 p.m. members of the Holyoke Police Department responded to the area Appleton, High, and Maple Streets when they heard. What they thought to be, gunshots coming from this vicinity while on patrol. A 9-1-1 call was soon received for a reported gunshot victim at 285 Maple Street.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim outside of 285 Maple Street, who appeared to be suffering from a gunshot wound. He was later identified as Andrew Musgrave, 31, of Amherst. He was rushed to Baystate Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.

This is an on-going investigation being conducted by the Holyoke Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office, and the Hampden District Attorney’s Office’s Murder Unit.

Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni and Holyoke Police Chief Manny Febo express their sympathies to Mr. Musgrave’s family.
