Guilty: Davon Kelly-Griffin Convicted of First Degree Murder

FFebruary 4, 2019 -Springfield- Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni today announced the guilty verdict delivered today from a Hampden County Superior Court Jury for the September 2017 murder of Mr. Rakishon Pedraza. 

Davon Kelly-Griffin has been found guilty of First Degree Murder for the fatal shooting of Mr. Pedraza in between Union and Monroe Streets in Springfield on September 8, 2017.

Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni stated, “My sympathy continues to be with Rakishon’s family and friends as they continue to cope with their tragic loss.”  D.A. Gulluni went on to say, “I would like to thank the Springfield Police Department’s Homicide Unit and Assistant District Attorney Eduardo Velazquez for their diligence and hard work in seeing this case through to a conviction and a just result.” 

Assistant District Attorney Eduardo Velazquez represented the Commonwealth with Assistant District Attorney John Wendell sitting as appellate counsel.
