SPRINGFIELD – Assistant Hampden District Attorney Melissa Doran – who prosecuted murders, motor vehicle homicides and many horrific domestic violence cases in her tenure in Springfield – will begin as first assistant clerk in Hampshire Superior Court in Northampton on Jan. 14. Doran will take the job currently held by Nancy Foley, who is retiring after 35 years.
