Hampden District Attorney to Review Jerry Bellamy Case

February 21, 2019 -Springfield- The 2017 incident that led to a criminal complaint being issued against Mr. Bellamy by the Springfield Police Department will be subject to a review by Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni.

In 2017, the Hampden District Attorney’s Office dismissed the district court case due to a lack of credibility in the officer’s narrative of events.

Commenting on the situation, Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni stated, “The initial assessment made to dismiss the complaint was the right thing to do. However, newly acquired evidence that has come to my attention will be reviewed by my office for criminal behavior, which I believe is required in the interests of justice.”
