Nathan Jensen Guilty in 2017 BB Gun Assault on Innocent Bystander

January 15, 2019 -Springfield- Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni announced today the guilty verdict in a 2017 assault and battery in the Town of Ludlow.

On May 20, 2017, an unprovoked attack by the defendant, Nathan Jensen, left one person with severe injuries to his eye, ear, head, and neck. The attack occurred as several people were walking home and passed by the defendant’s residence. The defendant ran outside and confronted the group over damage done to his car, although the investigation showed no damage to his vehicle or prior connection with the victims. The confrontation led to the defendant shooting the victim at close range several times with BB gun causing the severe injuries.  

Nathan Jensen, 30, of Ludlow has been found guilty of Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon Causing Serious Bodily Injury by a Hampden Superior Court Jury. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, January 16, 2019

Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni stated, “I commend the victims of this attack for their courage in facing their attacker. Acts of violence committed against innocent people will be pursued aggressively by my office, in order to protect the rule of law and peace in our communities.” D.A. Gulluni went on to say, “Assistant District Attorney Nina Vivenzio did a terrific job preparing the case and presenting the evidence to the jury. I thank her and the Ludlow Police Department for their professionalism and hard work.”

Assistant District Attorney Nina Vivenzio represented the Commonwealth.
