Victim of Accident on Breckwood Blvd in Springfield Identified

September 25, 2017 -Springfield- On Sunday, September 24, 2017 the Springfield Police Department responded to a crash involving a pedestrian on Breckwood Boulevard in Springfield.

The victim of the crash has been identified as Mr. Nathaniel Acevedo, 13, of Springfield.

The crash remains under investigation by the Springfield Police Department and the Motor Vehicle Homicide Unit of Hampden District Attorney’s Office.

Mr. Joshua Cutler, 35, of Springfield, has been arrested in connection with this incident. He is currently charged with, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and is being held on $35,000 cash bail. His bail came with the conditions of not consuming any alcohol or drugs and to submit to testing, as well as, GPS monitoring. He is currently being held for 90 days as his bail has been revoked from a previous case.

This is an open and on-going investigation.
