September 6, 2017 -Springfield- On Monday, September 4, 2017 the Major Crimes Unit of the Springfield Police Department responded to a report of multiple gunshot victims who were privately transported to Baystate Medical Center.

One of the shooting victims has passed away. He has been identified as Mr. David Correa, 28; his address has yet to be determined.

The incident leading to both men being shot is under investigation by the Springfield Police Department’s Homicide Unit and the Murder Unit of Hampden District Attorney’s Office.

Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni and Springfield Police Commissioner John Barbieri offer their sympathies to Mr. Correa’s family and friends during this difficult time.
