August 31, 2018 -Springfield- On Thursday, August 30, 2018 the Springfield Police Department responded to a crash involving a single passenger vehicle and a pedestrian in the vicinity of East Street and Bowles Park in Springfield.

The victim of the crash, who was a pedestrian and working as a crossing guard at the time of the crash, has been identified as Ms. Michele Barrows, 67, of Springfield.

The crash remains under investigation by the Springfield Police Department’s Traffic Bureau and the Motor Vehicle Homicide Unit of Hampden District Attorney’s Office.

This is an open and active investigation. No arrest has been made at this time.
