Businesses Invited to Connect with Future Workforce at Annual Hoop Up Springfield & Summer Job Fair
April 1, 2025 – Springfield, Massachusetts – Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni’s Ninth Annual Hoop Up Springfield Basketball Tournament & Summer Job Fair is returning, offering local businesses a prime opportunity to connect with eager, job-seeking high school students. The job fair portion of the event is set to take place at American International College’s Butova Gymnasium on Monday, April 21 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., combining an exciting basketball tournament, a cheerleading clinic, and a job fair aimed at providing young people with meaningful summer employment.
Businesses looking to hire summer employees, particularly high school students, are encouraged to participate. The job fair will give employers direct access to a diverse pool of motivated young talent seeking opportunities in retail, hospitality, recreation, and other industries.
“This event is about more than just basketball – it’s about giving young people a positive path forward,” said Gulluni. “A summer job provides valuable experience, responsibility, and a chance to contribute to our local economy. We invite businesses to join us in making these opportunities accessible to our youth.”
Local employers interested in securing a booth at the job fair can sign up now to connect with Springfield’s next generation of workers. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. The deadline to sign up for a booth is Monday, April 14.
