March 20, 2025 – SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts – Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni sat down with G. Michael Dobbs for Focus Springfield’s show, “Government Matters.”

Viewers will hear about DA Gulluni’s hard work to make Greater Springfield a safer place through building community and engaging in effective outreach, crime prevention and education. They discuss the decision to move his staff from the Roderick Courthouse to Tower Square, partnerships with Springfield and local Police Departments, the Massachusetts State Police, the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department and federal partners.

While this work often results in successful prosecution of violent offenders, it also aims to prevent criminal recidivism through a unique program named EACH, the Emerging Adult Court of Hope. It is a first of its kind in Massachusetts and one receiving national attention for its innovation and potential effectiveness with this crucial population.This groundbreaking model engages young adults from ages 18-24 who are incarcerated. Designed by District Attorney Gulluni to avoid repeated incarceration, the court provides intensive support and programming focused on the participants’ physical and mental health, behavior patterns, housing, and ultimately the development of a pathway for careers through education and job training.
