August 15, 2026 – Holyoke, Massachusetts – The Hampden District Attorney’s Office in conjunction with the Holyoke Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in Holyoke.

At approximately 2:23 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, Holyoke Police officers responded to the area of 107 Newton St. following a ShotSpotter activation.

Upon arrival, officers located a male suffering from a gunshot wound in a business parking lot. Officers immediately began life-saving measures before the victim was transported by paramedics to Baystate Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office and the Holyoke Police Department are investigating.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
