June 30, 2026 – Springfield, Massachusetts – Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni has identified the victim involved in a fatal shooting Friday night in Springfield.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, Springfield Police officers responded to the 100 block of Lebanon Street following a ShotSpotter activation. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Baystate Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries Saturday morning.

The victim has been identified as Alexander Pulinario, 18, of Springfield.

A second adult male who sustained a gunshot wound was privately transported to Baystate Medical Center with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The incident remains under investigation by the Springfield Police Homicide Unit, under the direction of Captain Trent Duda, in conjunction with the Hampden District Attorney’s Murder Unit.
