July 17, 2026 – Springfield, Massachusetts – Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni has identified the victim involved in a fatal shooting Monday morning in Springfield.

At approximately 2:40 a.m., on Monday, July 13, 2026, Springfield Police officers responded to a wooded area on the 200 block of Parker Street for a report of a gunshot victim. Officers located an adult male victim, who was transported to Baystate Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injures.

The victim has been identified as Sean Pendergrast, 49, of Springfield.

This remains an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Springfield Homicide Unit under the direction of Captain Trent Duda, in conjunction with the Hampden District Attorney’s Murder Unit.
