April 25, 2025 – Springfield, Massachusetts – At approximately 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, Springfield Police Officers responded to the 1500 block of Hall of Fame Avenue for a report of an unresponsive person near the bike path. The adult female was pronounced deceased shortly after.

The victim has been identified as Meggan Meredith, 45

The SPD Homicide Unit under the direction Captain Trent Duda is investigating in conjunction with the Hampden District Attorney’s Office Murder Unit.
