Jun 1, 2022 -Chicopee- On Monday, May 30, 2022 at approximately 5:04 p.m. the Chicopee Police Department responded to the 1200 block of Grattan Street for a report of a shots fired.  On scene responding officers located an adult male who appeared to be suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Mr. Luis Lebron Alvelo, 23, of Chicopee.

This is an on-going investigation being conducted by the Chicopee Police Department, and the Hampden District Attorney’s Office’s Murder Unit.
