March 18, 2025 – Springfield, Massachusetts – At approximately 10:50 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, Springfield Police Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation on the 100 block of Orange Street. Officers located a male gunshot victim inside a vehicle. He was transported to Baystate Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

The victim has been identified as Aubrey Wyatt, 42, of Springfield. District Attorney Anthony Gulluni extended his condolences to the victim’s family.

This remains an ongoing investigation by the Springfield Police Department Homicide Unit under the direction of Captain Trent Duda in conjunction with the Hampden District Attorney’s Murder Unit.
