Victim in Springfield Euclid Avenue Homicide Identified

July 8, 2019 -Springfield- On Saturday, July 6, 2019 members of the Springfield Police Department responded to 147 Euclid Avenue for reports of shots fired. Responding officers located a victim, who appeared to be suffering from gunshot wounds, in the backyard of the property.

The victim, Mr. Kahsir Thompson, 22, of Springfield, was immediately rushed to Baystate Medical Center where he passed away a short time later.  

This is an on-going homicide investigation being conducted by the Springfield Police Department’s Homicide Unit, and the Hampden District Attorney’s Office’s Murder Unit.

Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni offers his sympathies to Mr. Thompson’s family.
