Victim of Homicide on Stebbins Street in Springfield Identified

March 4, 2019 -Springfield- On Saturday, March 2, 2019 officers from the Springfield Police Department responded to a Shot Spotter activation in the vicinity of 53 Stebbins Street.

Upon arrival officers found a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds who was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim appears to have suffered from multiple gunshot wounds.  

The victim has been identified as Mr. Eric Daniels, 37, of Springfield.

The homicide investigation is currently being conducted by the Springfield Police Department’s Homicide Unit, and the Hampden District Attorney’s Office’s Murder Unit.

This is an open and active investigation.
