January 23, 2018 -Ludlow- On Monday, January 22, 2018 the Springfield Police Department responded to a crash involving passenger vehicle and a pedestrian on East Street in Springfield.

The victim of the crash, who was a pedestrian, has been identified as Ms. Virginia Schabowski, 59, of Springfield.

The crash remains under investigation by the Springfield Police Department and the Motor Vehicle Homicide Unit of Hampden District Attorney’s Office.

This is an open and on-going investigation.
