July 17, 2025 – Springfield, Massachusetts – On Saturday, July 12 at approximately 11:20 p.m., Springfield Police Officers responded to the intersection of Main Street and Arch Street for a report of a gunshot victim. The adult male gunshot victim was transported to Baystate where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after midnight on Sunday, July 13.  

The victim has been identified as Webstern Grant-Stovall, 35, of Springfield.

The Springfield Police Homicide Unit under the direction of Captain Trent Duda is investigating in conjunction with the Hampden District Attorney’s Murder Unit. There is no ongoing public safety threat.
