August 20, 2025 – Springfield, Massachusetts – On Sunday, August 17 at approximately 8:45 p.m., Springfield Police Officers responded to a report of a stabbing on the 0-100 block of Cedar Street. Upon arrival, officers located two adult males suffering from stab wounds. Both victims were transported to Baystate Medical Center. The first victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The second succumbed to his injuries. 

The victim has been identified as Xavier Lebron-Telles, 36, of Springfield. 

This remains an ongoing investigation by the Hampden District Attorney’s Murder Unit in conjunction with the Springfield Police Department Homicide Unit.
