Victim of Springfield Homicide Identified

February 7, 2019 -Springfield- On Wednesday, February 6, 2019 officers from the Springfield Police Department responded to 37 Francis Street for a reported gunshot victim.

Upon arrival officers found a male victim and a dog deceased at the scene. The victim appears to have suffered from multiple gunshot wounds.

Also located in the house was a significant marijuana growing operation.  

The victim has been identified as Mr. Timothy Redmond, 38, of Springfield.

The homicide investigation is currently being conducted by the Springfield Police Department’s Homicide Unit, and the Hampden District Attorney’s Office’s Murder Unit.

This is an open and active investigation.

Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni offers his sympathies to Mr. Redmond’s family during this difficult time.
