May 29, 2019 -Springfield- On Monday, May 27, 2019 members of the Springfield Police Department responded to the area of Parker and Kazbeck Streets for a shots fired call.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim who appeared to be suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel arrived a short time later and transported the victim to Baystate Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.  

The victim has been identified as Mr. Zachariah Ramsey, 29, of Springfield. 

This is an on-going investigation being conducted by the Springfield Police Department’s Homicide Unit along with the Hampden District Attorney’s Office’s Murder Unit.
