November 19, 2018 -Springfield- On Wednesday, November 13, 2018 the Springfield Police Department responded to a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a tractor trailer on Page Boulevard in Springfield. It appears the passenger vehicle crossed into the path of the tractor trailer.

There were a total of four occupants in the vehicle, two of which were young children, ages seven and three. Neither child appeared to have been in a car seat.

The second victim of the crash, who was the seven year old passenger in the vehicle, has been identified as Ms. Evangelize Rodriguez, 7, of Springfield.

The crash remains under investigation by the Springfield Police Department’s Traffic Bureau and the Motor Vehicle Homicide Unit of Hampden District Attorney’s Office.

This is an open and active investigation. No arrest has been made at this time.
