November 14, 2018 -Springfield- On Wednesday, November 13, 2018 the Springfield Police Department responded to a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a tractor trailer on Page Boulevard in Springfield. It appears the passenger vehicle crossed into the path of the tractor trailer.

There were a total of four occupants in the vehicle, two of which were young children, ages seven and three. Neither child appeared to have been in a car seat.

The victim of the crash, who appears to have been a passenger in the vehicle, has been identified as Ms. Aida Hernandez, 26, of Springfield.

The crash remains under investigation by the Springfield Police Department’s Traffic Bureau and the Motor Vehicle Homicide Unit of Hampden District Attorney’s Office.

This is an open and active investigation. No arrest has been made at this time.
