Investigation into Chicopee Homicide Continues

September 12, 2017 -Springfield- The investigation into the death of Mr. Jafet Robles, 33, of Springfield continues after the deceased’s remains were discovered early Monday morning by employees of the City of Chicopee.

Investigators are asking for anyone who may have information regarding this investigation to anonymously utilize Text-A-Tip, text the word CRIMES (2-7-4-6-3-7) and type the word SOLVE into the body of the message followed by your tip. The public can also contact the Chicopee Police Department at (413) 594-1730 or the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, (413) 505-5993 to pass along information as well.

Mr. Robles was discovered on the grounds of Szot Park in Chicopee at approximately 7:20 a.m. in the vicinity of 229 Bemis Road. Investigators believe he arrived in the area around 9:00 p.m. the previous evening on Sunday, September 10th.

This is an open and active homicide investigation currently being conducted by the Chicopee Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit Assigned to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office, the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and the Murder Unit of the Hampden District Attorney’s Office.
