Investigation into Norfolk Street Homicide Continues

September 28, 2018 -Springfield- On Thursday, September 27, 2018 at approximately 11:10 p.m. officers from the Springfield Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the vicinity of Norfolk Street and Wilbraham Road.

Upon arrival officers located a victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency medical service personnel.

The victim has been identified as Mr. Carl Sepheus, 30, of Springfield.

This is an open and active homicide investigation being conducted by the Springfield Police Department’s Homicide Unit and the Hampden District Attorney’s Office’s Murder Unit.

Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni and Springfield Police Commissioner John Barbieri offer their sympathies to Mr. Sepheus’ family during this difficult time.
