Police Continue to Investigate Southwick Home Invasion

October 16, 2018 -Southwick- At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Monday, October 15, 2018 the Southwick Police Department responded to a residence on Vining Hill Road for a reported home invasion. A subsequent call by the Southwick Police Department to the Massachusetts State Police Detective assigned to the Hampden District Attorney’s was made for additional assistance.

Upon arrival officers from the Southwick Police Department located an adult male who appeared to be suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers immediately began performing first aid as they waited for emergency medical services to arrive.

The adult male victim was transported to Baystate Medical Center along with his toddler aged daughter for treatment to injuries sustained during the attack. The young girl has been examined and released from the hospital. There were no signs of her being shot.

The home invasion remains under investigation by the Southwick Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office.

Please note this appears to be an isolated incident. There is no immediate danger to the general public.
