November 9, 2016 -Chicopee, Ma- Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni’s office today identified the victim of a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on November 8, 2016 on Route 20 in Westfield, Ma.

At approximately 8:00 p.m. on November 8, 2016, The Westfield Police Department responded to reports of multiple car crashes in Westfield. One of which required the assistance of the Massachusetts Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Section as well as assistance from the Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni’s Motor Vehicle Homicide Unit.

A motor vehicle driven by Ryan Pasquini, 25, Westfield, MA, was involved in a crash in the vicinity of Main Street and Meadow Street where he allegedly rear ended another vehicle. Pasquini allegedly left the scene of the accident and a short time later struck a vehicle operated by David Matyseck, 68, Westfield, Ma. David was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and passed away.

Ryan Pasquini was arraigned today in Westfield District Court and charged with: motor vehicle homicide, leaving the scene of personal injury accident and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. He was released on personal surety with orders of not to drive, a curfew between 11:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m., no alcohol, and required to use a sobrietor device.

This is an on-going investigation being conducted by the Massachusetts State Police Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the Hampden District Attorney’s Office and the Westfield Police Department.
