November 30, 2021 -Springfield- On Sunday, November 23, 2021 the Springfield Police Department responded to Cuff Avenue in the vicinity of the 100 block for a report of a gunshot victim at approximately 9:00 p.m.

Officers located a victim, who appeared to be suffering from a gunshot wound, in a car. He was transported to Baystate Medical Center, but was pronounced deceased due to his injuries.  

The decedent has been identified as Mr. Lydale Mitchell, 22, of Springfield.

This is an on-going investigation being conducted by the Springfield Police Department’s Homicide Unit and the Hampden District Attorney’s Office’s Murder Unit.
