January 6, 2022 -Springfield- On Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at approximately 10:45 p.m. Springfield Police Officers responded to area of Eastern Avenue and Chapel Street for a report of a gunshot victim.  Responding officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered  first aid but the victim tragically succumbed to his injuries on scene.

The victim has been identified as Mr. Chang Zou, 41, of Springfield.

This is an on-going investigation being conducted by the Springfield Police Department’s Homicide Unit, and the Hampden District Attorney’s Office’s Murder Unit.
