Victim of Springfield Crash on Roosevelt Avenue and Page Boulevard Identified

September 4, 2018 -Springfield- On Sunday, September 2, 2018 the Springfield Police Department responded to a crash involving two motor vehicles at the intersection of Page Boulevard and Roosevelt Avenue in Springfield.

One of the vehicles crashed into a telephone pole causing significant damage to the passenger side of the car. This vehicle then crossed into the intersection striking the second vehicle.

The victim of the crash, who was a passenger in the vehicle that struck the telephone pole, has been identified as Ms. Denise Laperle, 65, of West Springfield.

Ms. Laperle was transported from the scene to Baystate Medical Center where she later passed away.

The crash remains under investigation by the Springfield Police Department’s Traffic Bureau and the Motor Vehicle Homicide Unit of Hampden District Attorney’s Office.

This is an open and active investigation. No arrest has been made at this time.
