Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni’s 2016 Campus Safety Symposium

May 5, 2016 -Holyoke, Mass- District Attorney Anthony Gulluni is sponsoring a one-day conference on campus safety. The keynote speaker for the day will be David Lisak, Ph.D., a nationally recognized forensic consultant, trainer and lecturer on interpersonal violence who has helped guide rape prevention and response policies; consulting widely with colleges and universities, as well as the U.S. Military and others. Other speakers include Colby Bruno, J.D., an expert in the representation of college students and the education rights of sexual assault victims and Alison Little Sabatello, an expert on higher education statutory and regulatory compliance, including Title IX and campus security.

The day’s agenda will include a discussion of a multidisciplinary team approach to the investigation of sexual assault and domestic violence complaints and a review and update of applicable laws and the legal issues frequently occurring in these investigations, such as confidentiality, privilege, consent, and the legal and medical ramifications of voluntary intoxication for both the victim and alleged perpetrator.
