Investigators seek public’s help in Jafet Robles homicide case on the anniversary of his passing

September 10, 2021 -Chicopee- The Hampden District Attorney, the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office, and the Chicopee Police Department’s Detective Division are renewing their call for the public’s assistance into the investigation of the 2017 homicide of Mr. Jafet Robles on the four year anniversary of his passing

Mr. Robles was found on September 11, 2017 at approximately 7:20 a.m. on the grounds of Szot Park by employees of the City of Chicopee. Shortly thereafter, the Chicopee Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit Assigned to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office responded in the vicinity of 229 Bemis Road and began an active homicide investigation. Investigators believe he arrived in the area around 9:00 p.m. of the previous evening, September 10,, 2017. 

Jafet Robles is fondly remembered as a loving and devoted father, who had a passion and great love for his community, and is missed by many.   

The District Attorney and detectives, along with Jafet’s family, are asking for the public’s assistance if they have any information regarding Jafet’s case, especially if they may have witnessed anything that may be useful to investigators. This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Chicopee Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office, and the Hampden District Attorney’s Office’s Murder unit.
