Names of victims in double-fatal Westfield fire released by Hampden District Attorney

WESTFIELD – The victims of a double-fatal fire that broke out in a Park Street home Saturday afternoon have been identified as Mary and Theresa Woodworth, ages 92 and 54, respectively.

Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni released the identities of the two victims on Monday morning. The District attorney expressed his condolences to the family of the victims.

Westfield Deputy Fire Chief Mark Devine said firefighters were called to a residence at 40 Park Street around 3 p.m. Saturday, where they found a house engulfed in flames.

The fire remains under investigation by the Westfield fire and police departments, the state police detective unit assigned to Gulluni’s office and the state fire marshal’s office.
