Victim in Holyoke Homicide Identified

July 20, 2022 -Holyoke- On Monday, July 18, 2022 at approximately 2:11 a.m. the Holyoke Police Department received a 911 call reporting a shooting in the area of the 30-40 block of North Summer Street. When officers arrived on scene a male gunshot victim was located and treated by emergency medical personnel. He later succumbed to his injuries and passed away.   

The victim has been identified as Mr. Richard Roman-Santiago, 33, of Holyoke.

This is an on-going investigation being conducted by the Holyoke Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office, and the Hampden District Attorney’s Office’s Murder Unit.

Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni offers his sympathies to Mr. Roman-Santiago’s family.
